GoFBO is a flight department operations service operated by Idaho Aviators, LLC ("Idaho Aviators", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the GoFBO application, the gofbo.com website and related services (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
GoFBO is sold to organizations such as flight departments, FBOs and flight schools ("Customers"). When a Customer puts information about its people, aircraft and operations into the Service, we process it on the Customer's behalf and under its instructions. If you use GoFBO through your employer or another organization, that organization controls your account and its data; please direct requests about that data to them as well as to us.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and the sign-in identity you use (for example Google or Apple sign-in). We don't receive or store your Google or Apple password.
Customer data. Information your organization enters or uploads: trips, passengers and requesters, aircraft and maintenance records, crew profiles, certificates, training and duty records, flight logs, fuel and receipt images, expenses, documents, and messages exchanged through the Service.
Billing information. The billing contact and subscription details for your organization. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.
Support communications. What you send us in support tickets, emails or chats, including any attachments.
Usage and device information. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages and features used, dates and times, and error reports, which we use to run, secure and improve the Service.
Information from connected services. If your organization connects a calendar, messaging or other third-party service, we receive the information that connection is set up to share.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: showing schedules, sending trip requests, trip sheets, reminders and notices by email or text as your organization configures them, and producing reports.
- To create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To provide customer support and respond to requests.
- To bill for subscriptions and send service and account notices.
- To maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service, including aggregated, de-identified statistics about how features are used.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use Customer data to advertise to you.
3. How we share information
Within your organization. People your organization invites can see information according to the roles and permissions your organization assigns.
Service providers. We use vendors to host the Service, deliver email, send text messages (for example Twilio, when your organization turns texting on), process payments, and, when your organization turns on AI features, to read receipt photos, answer support questions and research trips (Anthropic). They may use the information only to provide their services to us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith it's necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
With your consent or at your organization's direction.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session secure and remember settings such as your theme. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but the Service won't work without the necessary ones.
5. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls and logging. Our staff may access an organization's data only to provide support or operate the Service, and those support sessions are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we'll notify affected Customers as the law requires.
6. Retention
We keep Customer data for as long as the organization's account is active. When an account is closed, we delete or de-identify Customer data within a reasonable period, unless we need to keep some of it to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, resolve disputes or enforce agreements. Backups are overwritten on a regular cycle.
7. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile and notification settings in the Service. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact your organization's administrator or email us at the address below; we'll verify the request and respond within the time the law allows. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
8. Children
The Service is meant for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Where information is kept
We're based in the United States and store and process information there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is material we'll let account administrators know before it takes effect.
