Text messages from GoFBO
Last updated October 12, 2026
GoFBO is a flight operations service from Idaho Aviators, LLC, an Idaho limited liability company doing business as GoFBO. Aviation companies (flight departments, charter operators, FBOs and flight schools) use it to schedule trips and crew. GoFBO can send their pilots, crew members and schedulers text messages about their work, but only to people who agree to receive them.
Who gets texts
Pilots, crew members and schedulers who have a GoFBO account with one of those companies and who turn texts on for themselves. Nobody else can turn texts on for them: not their company's administrators, not their scheduler, and not GoFBO. Without their agreement, GoFBO sends email instead.
How people agree
- The person signs in to GoFBO at go.gofbo.com.
- They enter their mobile number in My profile › Contact (or on the setup page shown the first time they sign in).
- They choose Text or Email and text for Trip requests and trip sheets or Flight alerts (under Messages).
- A checkbox appears with the wording below. It starts unticked, and nothing is texted until the person ticks it. GoFBO records when they agreed and for which number.
What they see in GoFBO (shown here for a company called Sawtooth Air):
What we send
- Trip requests for crew, which they can answer by replying YES or NO
- Schedule changes to trips they're on
- Trip information sheets before a trip
- Flight alerts for schedulers: an aircraft took off, landed, or had its flight plan cancelled
We don't send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies with how much the person flies or schedules. Message and data rates may apply.
STOP and HELP
Reply STOP to any GoFBO text to stop them; we confirm and send nothing more to that number. People can also change their choices under My profile › Notifications or untick the box in My profile at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
