Part 135Flight release135.77

Release the flight with the checks done for you.

The METAR and TAF for departure, destination and alternate are kept with the release. Alternate minimums and the 60% runway rule are checked, and the release is signed by a named person with release authority.

How it works.

  1. Check the weather

Weather for every airport at the flight's times, checked against the rules before anyone signs.

    • Destination minimums under 135.223
    • Alternate minimums under 135.221
    • Landing distance against 60% of the runway
    • The METAR and TAF kept with the release
    Release weather checks
  2. Confirm and sign

Airworthiness, NOTAMs, the passenger briefing and hazmat are confirmed, then the flight is released by a person you've given release authority, by name.

    The release form
  3. Kept for good

Releases are never edited. A wrong one is voided with the reason, and both stay in the record for the inspector.
