Part 91Trip sheets and briefings

The crew's briefing, before each leg.

METARs and TAFs for the time of the flight, NOTAMs in plain English, FAA delays, the runway in use and the approach to expect, FBO contacts and passengers, on the crew's phone and as a PDF.

How it works.

  1. Leg by leg

Pick a leg and everything on the sheet is for that leg and its times.

    • METAR and TAF valid for the departure and arrival times (or "not available" when they aren't)
    • NOTAMs in plain English, the ones that matter first
    • Runway in use and the approach to expect
    • FAA ground stops and delay programs
    • FBO, passengers and the fuel order
Choosing a leg on the trip sheet
  2. Sent before the flight

Each crew member gets the sheet by email or text ahead of each leg, with a PDF package attached: the leg at a glance, weather, load and weight and balance, the fuel plan and, for Part 135, the release.

    The trip on a phone

What's included.

  • Weather valid for the flight's time
  • Plain-English NOTAMs
  • Runway in use and the approach to expect
  • FAA ground stops and delays
  • PDF package with load and fuel plan
